F.A.Q.’s:
Q: “What is an “Appendix Kicker” and what does it do?”
A: Also known as a Modwing or concealment claw, the appendix kicker is a small wedge that sticks out on the grip side of the holster. Its purpose is to press into the inside of your belt or waistband to help turn the grip of your pistol in so that the grip stays tucked in close to your body. If you struggle with printing, we highly suggest giving it a try.
Q: “What does L.A.G. stand for?
A: “Like A Glove” – guaranteed to fit you and your gun like a glove.
Q: “What if I don’t see my gun listed on the website?”
A: We do make custom molded holsters, but we need to keep the pistol at our shop for about two weeks. You can bring it in, ship it to us via a registered FFL, or remove the trigger grouping/firing mechanism and send it via UPS or FEDEX.
Keep in mind that tooling for each holster model varies, so if you do not see your pistol listed for one model, it may still be available for another model.
Q: “What’s the difference between the Appendix MKII and the Krieger?
A: The Appendix MKII is machine made and requires specific tooling to produce large quantities of holsters that are all perfectly made and exactly the same. We only carry machine tooling for about 20 of the most popular carry pistols for the Appendix MK II.
The Krieger is hand molded by expert holster makers using either a real gun or an aluminum replica making each one unique and beautifully made. The Krieger allows us to offer an appendix style holster for a wider variety of pistols.
If you’re right-handed and you see your pistol listed under the Appendix MKII, there is no need to explore the Krieger.
If you’re left-handed, or you don’t see your pistol listed under the Appendix MKII then you should check out the Krieger.
Q: “Are there any convertible options?”
A: The Defender, Bag Carry, and Liberator models can all be worn IWB and OWB.
The Defender comes with extra loops for both methods of carry included.
For the Liberator and Bag Carry holsters, we recommend purchasing an OWB paddle from the accessories tab for OWB. For IWB you can add either an Ulticlip, or one of our standard plastic belt clips (also sold separately).
Q: “Why can’t I unscrew the belt clip screws?”
A: The posts that the screws go into are not fixed to the holster, so they will spin if you try to unscrew them without holding them.
We recommend using a rubber gardening glove or a rubber band to hold the post with your finger while you unscrew.
Q: “What is your lead time for custom shop orders?”
A: All orders from the “custom holsters and carriers” tab will ship within two weeks.
